plot equipment
hey guys need a lil insight here, i have 20 acres of mostly wooded property i hunt on but there is a 1/4 acre food plot i did with a walk behind tiller which was a pain in the a** i want to do another 1/4 acre plot and a few logging roads next year but the walk behind tiller just isnt cutting it. currently i have a 99 2wd arctic cat 250 2x4 which people are telling me is to small to pull a disc with, i also have a 12 hp riding lawnmower but i assume thats pretty useless for a food plot to, i dont have alot of money what would you guys suggest is a better alternative then teh walk behind tiller that wouldnt put me in debt. Based on what you have told us for a 100 ft by 100 ft plot you need to get a little larger tiller and after tilling , and seeding pull a piece of chainlink with the 12 hp mower, put in clover so you wont have to do this every year....

spray everything down with a 2% solution of glyphosate in the spring. wait a few weeks and repeat. then broadcast your clover and drag something behind your atv to work up the ground a bit. it could be a cedar tree, some railroad tracks, some tires in a V formation, or even a bedspring that you find next to a curb for disposal. this isn't rocket science, and it doesn't need a rocket scientists budget either.

Here is a flip disc you may pull. I would set some type of depth wheels so it would not go below 2". It cold be done.
