How do you mow clover?
Does this require farm equipment? Can it be done with something other than farm equipment? Has anyone ever rigged up a push mower with say bicycle wheels or maybe tried it with an electric hedge trimmer (the kind with the sickle bar)?
Am I correct that the reasons for mowing clover are to encourage new growth of the clover and to cut off seed heads of weeds before they mature.

RE: How do you mow clover?
Mowing clover also helps keep annual weeds in check. You can have a local farmer harvest it if you don't have the equipment. Or you can pasture it. Or you can use a larger riding mower if you're willing to mow more often. If you want the hay you need to cut it, dry it, and bale it or bring it in loose. Alternately you can just bushhog it. This at least returns the nutrients to the soil. There are reel and sickle bar mowers that you can pull behind a truck or ATV but these tend to leave heavy layers of clover that smuther new growth.
