Roundup ?

I want to spray my plots before breaking them up for planting, but there have been a lot of afternoon showers in the area. If you have four or five hours after spraying will you still get a good kill????

RE: Roundup ?

RU is rainfast in about an hour. I sprayed a generic brand of 41% gly. It rained two hours later and I still got about an 85% kill.

I've got to go buy some more Gly, I have about a gallon, but that doesn't go as far as I had thought.

RE: Roundup ?

I see my biggest problem will be getting water. My 4-wheeler sprayer holds 15 gallons and I've got several acres to spray. It will take more time fetching water than it will doing the actual spraying. I built a small spray boom, 50" long with 4 fan spray nozzles, I should have made it about 65". I'm going to look at putting mist nozzles on with a stronger chemical to cut back on the water needed.

you could always just buy a water tank to transport water in, for a 210 gallon tank it is around $213 for it at tractor supply.

Not sure the 4-wheeler is going to work well with 1600 pounds on it!!

Using it to haul water to the field in the pick-up will work.
