RE: Fall Food Plot Ratios

Thats about double the clover than what you need. The rest sounds about right.

It sounds better on the clover end- but mixing several seed types is always problematic, its tough to know which ratios are best unless you try.

On their own (not mixed)

white clover = 6-8 lbs/acre
buck forage oats = 100 lbs/acre
chicory - 4-6 lbs/acre
austrian Winter peas = 70-80 lbs/acre

So - it all depends on what you want from your mix. 5 lbs of Austrian Winter peas/acre probably wound get you much - so you probably need more like 20-30 in the mix. Same amounts with the BFO - it will act more like an ediblenurse crop for the clovers.

You just don't want so much/acre of one seed that it Outcompetes the others, and they dye off.
