Check Lowe's, Sam's or Wal Mart and similar type stores for the fertilizer. Be sure to note the size bags and figure the price per pound. Depending on how big the acerage is in your plots the best value on lime is powdered. You should be able to rent a two wheel buggy spreader for about $25and get your lime for about $26 per ton, apply about 4 tons per acre. Lime should have been applied 6 or so months ago, but late is better than never.

i go to a grain elevator for fertilizer. theycan rent youspreader buggies, boom sprayers, and scales to weigh your full/empty vehicle. if i'm doing a small plot, i just take a 5 gallon bucket with me. they have 48-0-0, 18-42-0, and 0-0-60. i just use a shovel and pick whatever amounts of N, P, and K I need and put it in the bucket. it's 8 dollars for about 55 lbs of fertilizer. that's a better deal than walmart or lowes for fert.
