WASP Program?

Anyone here participate in the WASP program. This is our second year and it seems to be really paying off. It is not just for deer but for all wildlife ingeneral. The whole thing is planting native grasses(great for cover) and the grasses also contain Partridge Peas which the deer love. Out of our 95 acres we 30 dedicated to native grasses and this program...

Every third year it requires you to burn the grasses and let them start over again........ Just wondering if anyone else does this? Also the state pays for a good chunk of it (atleast Kentucky does)

RE: WASP Program?

What does WASP stand for? The only thing I'm aware of is White Anglo Saxon Protestant, I'm guessing that's not it.:D

I did a few google searches and even searched the Kentucky Parks and Wildlife site looking for any reference to a WASP program and couldn't find anything.
