RE: Feeder Set Up?

One more interesting note about the raccoons.

It seems that once they found that they couldn't get corn through the large diameter varmint cages they have given up. We no longer even get pictures of them trying and they haven't bothered to get to one feeder that we took the cage off.

Maybe a new generation of uneducated raccoons will eventually start stealing from us again, but so far they no longer even try.

I also noticed this with our garbage cans a few years ago. Raccoons were opening our cans and making a mess so I started strapping the lids down. They chewed on the cords but didn't get in and soon gave up. After a while I quit putting the straps on and they never bothered the cans again.

It makes me think that they learn what they can't do, but I could return to our property the next time and get a hundred pictures of raccoons spinning our feeder.
