SAND

yes sand. We have 120 acres 20 acres of it was a quarry. This year the county lease on the quarry ended and part of the contract was that they fill it in. They did an all right job to their standards but the grade is pretty step and I know we are going to have problems with run off. I'm not sure what I can plant in the sand after doing the soil testing and fertilizing that will do 1 of 2 things for the deer, food or cover. I don't plan to plant all 20 acres because I don't have the equipment but I would like to do 1 to 5 acres.

Any advise would help,

RE: SAND

Trefoil to stabilize the sand. I'd consider pines or oaks for forage and cover.
