Default Yellow Sweet Clover for deer food plot

Has anyone planted or know if deer would eat Yellow Sweet Clover? The area that i will be planted it seems perfect for it as it has invasive roots and it will grow in any soil type.

I have dissected deer scat and have found a massive amount of sweet clover seeds present. We did this for a plant class. The sweet clover was located neer an alfalfa field and the deer went past the alfalfa to the sweet clover. I dont know it the sweet clover is the same species, the sweet clover i am referencing was growing wild here in KS.

Sweet clover comes in many varities. Yellow clover is "common clover" and often grows wild. It is an excellent food source for deer. However, if not mowed down or hayed, the clover stems get tough and the leaves fall off leaving not much for winter or late season browes.

I am looking at other varities to plant, but deer like that yellow clover before it becomes "rank"

Sweet Clover has a blood thinning/bleeding effect if eaten in too large a quantity. Cattle will overindudge but I've never heard of that problem with deer.

Actually that sounds perfect. Should leave a better blood trail that way.
