How long can I expect my plot to last?

I have a 2 acre plot with nothing but various species of clovers. I mow it 2-3 times per year and this helps the clovers to dominate the weeds, it is really doing well. How long an I expect the clover to be thick before natural grasses start taking over?

Clovers usually last 3-5 years....depending on the nutrition and light cycle in your area

Every plot seems a little different - I agree that 3-5 years is a good range. I've had a few plots that fizzled at two years.

I've never had one go past 5 years. With Good weed control - maybe - but it gets expensive - and you might as well just replant.

How about keeping it going by overseeding every couple years?

MY FAITH IS IN DISCING DEEP FOR 2-3 SEASONS TO KILL OUT NATIVE SEED THE PLAN A LONG STANDING PLOT .THEN LIKE THEY SAID KEEP IT FERTIL AND RESEED LIGHTLY. YOU CAN RESEED WITH TURNIPS TO ALTER NUTRITIONAL VALUS FOR DIFFRENT SEASONS..
