Summer Feeding

I am going to start a summer feeding this year and wanted to know what the best protein you would use?

RE: Summer Feeding

We plant White Clover & Soybeans for Summer Protein forage.

If you are feeding with a spin-feeder - sorry I cannot help.

Details please! Where are you located? What type of property do you own? What is the surrounding land like (farms, woods, etc)? Why are leaning towards summer feeding than winter feeding? Please share.

RE: Summer Feeding

Natural Protien is always best, but it has to be palatable and desired by deer. For summer it is white clover and soybeans. A one acre field can easily provide 3+ tons of forage at 30% protien with enough rain. It is cheaper to plant than feed.
