Sounds like you need some cover!

RE: i need help
I would start by controlling the hog population, if you have enough cover then it sounds like the hogs are outcompeteing everything else. They are an exotic invasive species and will disrupt the natural ecosystem.

RE: i need help
the thing i would do is hire a wildlife biologist they will know excatly what you need but it you don't have that much money you need to lessen the popluation of the hogs. another thing is you might just not have a good poplulation of deer in the area if not then i don't know what to do but good luck

RE: i need help
I KNOW THERE ARE DEER THERE BECAUSE I ALWAYS HEAR SHOTS DURING GUN SEASON AND I WILL HEAR THEM ON THERE WALKIE TALKIES I WAS THINKIN THAT THEERE IS JUST ALOT OF PRESSURE ON THE DEER SO WE WOULD HAVE TO LAY BACK MORE AND I WAS GOIN TO GET A PROTEIN FEEDER GOING THIS WEEKEND .....COMPARE TO LAST YEAR THE TRACKS OF HOGS AND DEER HAVE DOUBLED AND MAYBE EVEN TRIPLED SO HOPEFULLY THIS IS A GOOD SIGN BUT WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS THIS WEEKEND

RE: i need help
I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT I THINK THERE IS NO WAY TO POSSIBLY CHANGE THE HOG POPULATION ALTHOUG WE HAVE KILLED MORE THAN 30

RE: i need help
20 acres isn't very much for hunting.
If you can sit up on top of a hill looking down on the feeders, it might help. Especially if you can set up in a manner that keeps your scent away from the feeder when you enter and leave the stand. |
