How Long 'Til They Start Hitting My Plot?
#1

I've finally got some clover and some sort of grass or wheat starting to come up decently-well after a mini drought. How long after germination have some of you noticed that the deer start really attacking your plots?

It dependes on what others food sources are available to the deer. Acorns, alfalfa, and a few others will probably be preferred over your wheat and clover. However they nibble a bit on it on their way to the prefferd crop.

You need to hope the deer don't start trying to graze the plot till the seedlings have a chance to establish a root system or the deer will pull up the plant when they start to graze.

Well if what I've been told by others and now hawgnman, they're going to go for the farmer's crops and the acorns first, right? There's a cornfield just down the hill a ways from where my plot is and the plot is littered with acorns right now anyway as it is. I'm actually hoping that's what draws them in this Sunday; the mast crop on top of my food plot.
