Anyone use a PlotMaster?

New to the board, but an old crusty hunter with a slice-o-paradise.I'd like to know if anyone herehas actual experience witha 4 ft. model Plotmaster;
http://www.theplotmaster.com/
Would like to know howit performs,does it work well with different seed types/sizes, towing vehicle used, add-on implements (grain drill/moldboard, etc),tips/advice and other info. It will be towed behind a UTV and used on theloamy/sandy soils of middle Georgia.
Thanks,
CB

Welcome to the board....The Plotmaster implement has been talked about several times on here, but I don't remember anybody on here actually buying one and using it. Price is a big deterent and I sort of think a good disc, drag tine harrow and simple seed spreader will do the same thing and can be use independently for other jobs. Try the search feature and you will probably find some more threads about the Plotmaster.

I looked at one, very expensive so picked up a little disc, added a box to add weight.

I used one a few weeks back to disc and plant. We rented it, but I must say, quite a nifty little implement. Did the job and after a few weeks with no rain, finally got some last week and went out today to see my clover and some other grasses beginning to grow.

I would agree with some of the aforementioned posts, though. If you can't find a good price on a used one, a disc and harrow would work nicely, and a cheap hand-spreading device for the seed would do the same job. This is all, of course, assuming you're planting a fairly small plot that you don't have a problem walking to spread the seed. Otherwise, by the time you add up the cost of the disc, harrow and seeder, may come up to be easier to just get the Plotmaster.
