Planted Last Tuesday, Still No Rain
#5

Had a good soaking pretty much all afternoon yesterday and then a little more today, so the moisture is there now, I just hope the seeds weren't damaged or anything while they sat out there in the dryness and heat.

There is a song I learned when I was a kid sung by Herbert the Turtle:
Have patience, have patience,
Don't be in such a hurry,
When you get impatient,
You only start to worry.
Remember, remember,
That God is patient, too,
And think of all the times when others have to wait for you!
A little sunshine on your plot now, and it will really grow.

When you get impatient,
You only start to worry.
Remember, remember,
That God is patient, too,
And think of all the times when others have to wait for you!
A little sunshine on your plot now, and it will really grow.

We've been waiting for sufficient rain to start planting our food plots. Last year we lost about 90% of our seeds due to the seed germinating and then drying up due to no moisture. We were having a good dove shoot this afternoon and had a storm come up just as the shooting started getting good, so we stood in the tractor shed just glad to have the rain.
