Sawtooth Oak

Hello,
I seen this on the Outdoor Channel, on the Management Advantage show. After the show, I got on the " net" and done a little research. This Oak will produce large, quarter sizedsweet acorns in 3-5 years! It eventually grows to a height of 60-80 feet and 60 feet wide. This would be a great tree to plant on your property, and see it start attracting wildlife in 3-5 years, instead of 25 years. The cheapest price I found was on the Arbor Day website, if anyone may be interested.

There's also a variety called the gobbler sawtooth that produces smaller acorns which are very attractive to turkeys and small game .

I have sawtooth oaks linning the street I live on. A little messy for residential use, but I might try and haul some of those big acorns to my lease.

I planted a 120 of these in march on my farm in KY, only lost 9.
When I planted they were around 18" tall and most of them are close to 3 feet now.
Ordered mine from a place called " the wildlife group"
Awesome trees for sure.
