food plot question

New to foodplots here. What would be good to plant in Aug. Sept.? Just winter wheat?

Thanks,

Have you ever tried Buck Forage Oats, or know anybody else that has tried them in your area?

Give brassicas a try. Plant them in the next few weeks and after a couple frost hit them the deer will key in on them.

What Criggster and/or timbercruiser said. Winter wheat would be good as well. Those are probably the top three choices for late summer or early fall plantings.

winter wheat or even rye grain. rye is allelopathic too. it's also a new word you can look up in the dictionary.

Try some clover. I will not attack a lot of attendion this year, but it's good for 3-5 years if you controll the weeds & grass.
