PLOTMASTER OR FIRMINATOR
 

Can anyone give me feedback on either the Plotmaster or Firminator products?? I have a 30hp Newholland tractor and need something for Discing, cultipacking and planting foodplots. I've heard a lot of good things about the plotmaster used as a 3-pt attachment with a tractor. I don't know anyone with the Firminator which does the same thing.

Any other suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. I hoping to get a piece of equipment like this that does multiple jobs if it will hold up.

Buying a used or older disk, cultipacker, and planter would be cheaper and work better than a plotmaster.

For foodplots, the priority of of equiptment would be 1) herbicide sprayer 2) spreader, for fertilizer and large seed 3) Disk

Thanks for the feedback. I am looking into seperate pieces of equipment too...but I have gotten some interesting feedback on the Plotmaster from those who have used them. Claiming it does a great job on a tractor when used right, etc...HAVE YOU USED THE PLOTMASTER?

My experience with the PlotMaster was less than impressive. Given the fact that our soils are clay, the PM took forever to break the ground. Also, it was, and may stilladvertised to be a one-pass planting tool. No way.

No experience with the Firminator. I saw the Summit 4-wheeler equipment and it looked good. In my opinion you're better off with individual pieces of equipment than spending a fortune on one of the PlotMasters.

I would get the heaviest disc my tractor could pull and a spike tooth drag harrow as my first equipment investment.

In most cases yes. A disk can roll over larger rocks and tree roots in wooded plots. A tillerwill leave a better seed bed, a disk is usually faster. Both can be set shallow to bury larger seeds.
