Default RE: Transplanting small trees..

Interesting post Jhalf. Hope don't mind me asking as well here. Can any of you guys tell me if wild Red Oak are possible to transplant? I have Red Oak all around my home. My neighbor keeps cutting down the Oak saplings, becasue he wants the woods around here to look open, and mature. I've told him needs to leave the saplings alone. But he don't listen. I have a hunting camp & land 85 miles south of here that doesn't have a single Oak on the property. I'd certainly like to see some there. I've bought, and planted a few Pin Oak there. But if transplanting these Red saplings can be done, and save them from being destroyed I'd like to do it, and save me some $ at the nursery.
