How do you guys make deer feeders with out pvc pipe. diagrams or pics would help.

I seen a guy this year on some private land I hunt putting out a homade feeder. Thought it was a pretty cool Idea. He made the whole thing outa duct work. It was about 5ft high made out of 6" flu with an elbow on the bottom and a tin box on the top. He happend to be filling it with corn. You fill it from the top till full. The feed spills out onto the ground as the deer feed it allows the rest to drop down. He used regular ductwork handers to nail it to a tree. Might make myself a few.
