Late Soybeans
When do the deer eat thedried soybean podswhere you are? Last year - they didn't mess with them much until about mid December when the snow was REALLy here for good. Seems like they went to the beans maybe just before - or at the same time as the corn.
Curious what others do.

RE: Late Soybeans
Depends. Mine are virtually all gone, Nov 15. I think it's a function of how comfortable the deer are in the beans during the first/last hour of daylight and availablity of other food sources. I used to plant beans at my former home within 100 yds. of the house. They left those alone till January, then hammered them.

RE: Late Soybeans
The boss got a 10 pt buck last Sat about 75 ft from the combine laying in the soybeans with a doe. The operator called his pop and he walked up to the combine and got it , the son was drriving the machine about 1 mph waiting for his dad to walk up..... They had been feeding on the beans...
