Monroe Tufline Groundhog Disk
Has anyone tried one of these? Apparently it's very new. Seems to tear up ground better than other ATV disks. I would be very interested in anyones experience.

RE: Monroe Tufline Groundhog Disk
The Groundhog has alot of potential, but is one crucial step away from stardom. They need to find a way to manually jack down the plow, so that you don't need to drive it in on the back of a truck or trailor the way their video demonstrates.

Bagum,
Have you used or seen one of these in person? I would like to hear of anyone's impression of the digging capability of the disk. |
RE: Monroe Tufline Groundhog Disk
No, I have not seen one in person. As I watch their video, 2 issues immediately come up.
1) It seems you would have to either jack up the back of your ATV, or have it on the edge of your truck bed or trailor to get the plow on and off. That seems to me like a major inconvenience. I hope they incorporate some type of jackup device in the future 2) The harder the ground you are on, the less traction you would get from your rear wheels. A 4X4 seems mandatory. I wonder how well it does on very hard ground. I'm guessing you would have to start shallow and work your way deeper. |

Looks like heavy duty stuff to me. I saw one at my neighbors and it was more substantial than most of the others I've seen.

whats the cost on it?

RE: Monroe Tufline Groundhog Disk
I would worry about tearing up the transmission in my 4-wheeler.
