EDIT: Sorry 1 quick question, Do you mix it with just the soil, or with like water, and when mixing it with the soil, how mixed should it be?

Just mix it with the dirt. I have been using this this recipe for about 4 or 5 years now. I am know really seeing a differnce in my deer herd. Don't expect overnight changes. And IMHO this is not a bait to hunt over (not saying you are using it for bait).

I don't feel that you need to mix it with the dirt, the deer will do that over time for you anyways.
In Michigan it would be legal to hunt over a mineral pile, but it's not really effective. Deer eat minerals when
they need them and that is usually in the spring to mid-summer.
