Nice polination on those ears.

Corn is very interesting. The number of rows, and kernals per row is all predetermined about the time the corn plant is about knee high - and the "ear" is still undergound in the stalk of the plant.

Thats why early fertilizer, weed control and moisture is soooo important.

Sometimes when the end of the cob is showing with no kernals at the end - it means the ear was still growing after the plant was done pollinating. yours look great all the way around.

It was a good year for corn in CNY!
