Estimating Deer Age

What are the biggest factors to look for when estimating the age of a deer? Body size, big shoulders, rack.. what else? I'm trying to guess the age of some deer. Thanks

RE: Estimating Deer Age

Face and body stature. The rack usually will get you within a year or two - and the weight of a mature deer can fluctuate 50-60 lbs from summer to fall . A 3 yr olds face USUALLY looks different from 1.5 & 2.5 - I don't get to guess much after that!

I'm not too picky from a hunting standpoint - but I like to know from a management point of view.
