shelled corn or cracked corn?
 
I just bought a new deer feeder from cabela's should I use shelled or cracked corn in it? It is the cabela's E-Z Load Game Feeder

i use shelled. it costs less. deer don't seem to mind. i think cracked corn is primarily for smaller birds, but that's just a guess.

We use shelled corn. The cracked corn turns into a lot of dust and mush.

Use shelled corn, it tends to jam the feeder less than cracked.

Used shelled....the deer like both but the cracked seems to attract a lot of small birds that can eat an aming percentage of it. Plus shelled is slightly cheaper.

I use shelled, it is cheaper and the deer will eat more of it,the birds don't gat as much.

I use whole corn and have good success with that. I buy it in bulk at the local grain elevator for $5.50 a 100 lbs. Better than any deal you can find at any Wal-Mart, Academy, Bass Pro, etc.
