I have planted lablab plus about 8 weeks ago and it looks like some weed is taking over:

Is this a weed or a plant in the lablab plus that I am not familiar with? My exclusion cage is the same height, so it doesn't seem it is getting much use from the deer.

Well I talked to some people and we found out that it is Wooly Croton...the bad stuff. It seems that it is quite prevalent in the south in recently disced soil that is sandy. Its hard to get rid of and reseeds it self...but its an annual so if i spray it and let it come back, then spray again before it reseeds, i should be good for a fall planting.

Looks like a little 2-4D will take care of your problem

I thought 2-4D was banned. Can you still buy it?
