Sugar Beets?

I have been hearing more and more about using Sugar Beets for food plots and was wondering if anyone has had any experience w/ them. I know that planting has come to past probably for this year but have been doing some research on them for possible planting next spring. I have found a website that offers a food plot blend if anyone else is interested. www.bucklunch.com

RE: Sugar Beets?

I don't know about using them for food plots, but my dad put them in his garden a year ago. I went by them one day and it looked like he used a weedeater to cut the tops off. It was the deer that ate them.

In Michigan my family uses them for bait and the deer eat them up. You might also try turnips.
