I just packed up a bunch of back editions of Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, Ontario Outdoors and Fur Fish and Game to send over to our Canadian troops in Afghanistan. I'm sure they'll be well read.

Politics isn't my cup of tea, per se`.

Supporting our troops wherever they may beand for however long they may be there, is.

My governments decisions are beyond my field of influence as I suspect your's is. The best I can do is to offer them my support for the time that they are there.

I am a retired soldier and I know what a few magazines and videos can do for the morale of the troops, Yours as well as mine.

Hey Everyone, this is a great idea, and I want to thank everyone who has participated already, and those of you who have expressed your support. I am currently deployed to Iraq also, and I never even thought of something like this...I have 4 months left, and looking forward to coming home. Iwill miss this year's deer season, but at leastI was able to hunt last year with my 2 brothers and a couple other guys.

I also know what it's like to be away and not able to hunt.I posted a message on the board at work and already got replys from fellow hunters willing to donate.I am also going to hit stores here like dicks sporting goods, gander mountain, and archery shops tosee if they will support our fellow hunters who are fighting over there so we can have the freedom to be able to hunt.
