Besides the message board, how often do you guys visit, use, or go through the rest of HuntingNet? We're working on redesigning the site and I would really like to put some more focus in areas that you guys either like and use often, or think could use some more work.

Deer Hunting is going to be a big focus for us, considering that this is one of our most popular Forums, so I want to hear your input on what you would like to see on our site.

Thanks guys.

Love this forum but you could make it easier to load more the one picture at a time ..

You can only upload one photo per post because of the way the bulletin board software is designed - there is nothing we can do about that. However, if you host your own photos and link them into your post, you can put in as many as you want.

Beyond that, I'm not looking for suggestions related to the bulletin board, but rather the rest of the website.

I’m usually on this site every day and sure would like to see a section on optics. This has been mentioned before by other members and just thought I should bring it up since you’re asking.:D

Honestly other than deer hunting, the south, wildlife management and the off season, I rarely visit the other sites. Takes too much time. I have always felt that there are too many forum areas and the overlaping information could be condensed to fewer forum areas.

Are you guys even aware that there is more to HuntingNet than just the bulletin board?

Yes but for some reason I always go to the forum. I guess I should check out the rest of the web site. Some day........;)

I explore quite a bit on here. When you are studyin at 3 am ya tend to get a little bored. Play the hunting games, do some quizzes, look at hunt swaps, classifieds, but my favorite would have to be the chat hands down. i think my marks in school would go up 10% if i was banned from there. I am pretty satisfied with the site, would be nice to have a bit more of a Canadian touch to it but you can't please everyone. Keep up the good work.

Hi o hnijustin

I use the sight a lot of parts.

1 Thing I did was post a trade in montana. I sent sevral emails to get it removed. It is still there so I posted one more saying it no longer would be.

How are or do they get removed?

It would be nice if you could look up things for sale or trade by date not just by most popular. If there is a way I did not know how.[not much of a pc guy]

I am not as good on the pc as most.So is there any where I can see a help program?

The option of your own custom avatar would be nice. It would make becoming more personalized a whole lot easier. But that is just a change in the Forum. Outside the forum, possibly hunting information or updates classified within states. For example, if you click on Kansas, it'll talk about a new update from the KDWP that talks about new seasons or laws or whatever, and by clicking on Wyoming you find a recent update on Antelope seasons from their W & P. I know that is one thing I visit a lot, when I'm some other sites. Maybe it is here and I'm just missing. Thanks

I am kinda like hia, I hang out at chat mostly, but I cruise the rest of the site as well. Hands down as is it is the best so far!! I am a mod at another huntin site, and one thing they do is on occ. (bout once every 2 months) they have a contest for a call, or a decal, somethin small, that really brings everyone together for a little friendly competition. Just an
idea!!:D

hungryhuntergirl, when you say you cruise the rest of the site, do you mean the whole rest of the site? HuntingGear.Com, SportingDogs.Com, DNR listings, articles, news, the sweepstakes.. all that stuff? If you do, which do you hit the most?

This doesn't really apply to redesigning your site, but is there anyway you can stop people from having multiple screenames. In the northeast section its becoming a ridiculious probelm.

Really. Give me a heads up on some of them. This sounds like it could be very entertaining.

I think it is a great site. I would, however, like to see a portion (header) just for sheds and shed hunting. There are alot of diehards out there that i'm sure would like that too.

I like to think i cover a majority of the sites on Hunting Net. As with a few of the others i suppose my favourite is the Chat.

One change i would like to see in Chat - is someone could see who is there before they enter. IMO this would save a lot of useless entries and exits, which needless to say cause disruptions.

Other than that we have a great site here, congratulations to you folks in Admin !! Keep up the good work!!

Early on I went through the deer hunting section, but there wasn't any information there that really held my interest. I now just come to the message board, because I can get better first hand information on deer hunting here than I can on the Hunting.net site. I have gone to several of your advertising outfitter's sites, but I have not yet booked a hunt with any of them.

I hope this helps.

Hi I love this site here once a day or more if I have the time. I like the games, the forum. I would like to see more small game info. I like many others got in to hunt with my dad in the woods hunting squills, rabbits & the like. Great way to get kids in to hunting & maybe in to your site. They are the future.

I think this is an awesome idea as sometimes I just pop in to see who's on chat and it wastes peoples time when they hello only to have the person leave.

I`m in here at least once a day. I visit chat, waterfowl, recipes, biggame, deer hunting, varmints, upland, sporting dogs, off season, other areas. EG; I don`t turkey hunt so I am very seldom in that forum nor am I very politically minded. I would like to see us all able to use our own avatars. All in all, it is still one of the best hunting sites I have found and I enjoy it very much.

RE: HuntingNet.com

I read more here rather then post....however this may be an idea 4U
I have seen over and over again people asking about a recommendation of a outfitter. There are other sites which allow you to "rate/search for your outfitter" I use it often for both looking for a new place as well as giving feed back.
Just a note..if you do something like this it is best if people "pick" from a list on each question. Such as "how was the food?" Poor/ Fair / average / Good / Excellant
It is easier to compare rather than have everyone just write at random. All the ones I have been on is broken down by States / provinces
There can be a small comment place for Misc info that someone may feel they need to convey.

A place on the site for Handiman Tips. such as fixing mowers, wshers etc. Country boys are usually very good with their hands and saving the money we would normally pay out to electricians, plumbers etc. we could buy more hunting equipment.

One thing I would like to see is a Delet spot on our own posts.

I have seen in some forums that when we have a post there is a
Delet button in our post.

I think it would be good to be able to delet our own posts.

And on the Quizes it would be nice to see all the questions on one page instead
Of one question at a time.

And have the anwsers to the ones we get wrong.
So we can see where we made a mistake.

Thank You

Justin,

I virtually only visit the forums. I have visit the site and found good info on arrows, foc balancing points (the everything arrows section). I think there is a lot of interest in wildlife management and that may be something that can be expanded upon. It's tough to compete with the QDMA site though.

The message board part I love. I'm on here everyday usually. Other than that I use the hunt swap part of the site a lot and the outfitter part to look for hunts. I like it but it could be better if you had a few more outfitters. I love this site though. It is awesome!

It would be nice if you had some charts as resources. I go to Chuck Hawk's site a lot to look up info on ballistics, trajectory, recoil, hand gun stoppong power, etc. Lots of nice charts there. Shouldn't be to difficult.

A DIY section might be nice. I used varmintal.com to make shooting sticks. He's got good info on camo painting too. Boat customizing is another. I'm sure a lot of the message board members could be contributers for free, or at least cheap (maybe a free hat for an accepted project.)

Oh, I almost forgot. I originally came across huntingnet a couple years ago when I decided to start hunting again. I haqdn't field dressed a deer since I was 14, and I was looking for instructions. Your site had some. That was a nice resource. A similar resource on butchering might be nice.
