You can probably get the same or similar seed at your local feed and seed cheaper when you figure in the shipping charges with the prices.

Your name implies that you are from NY. I work for the USDA Farm Service Agency in the New York State Office if you can tell me what county you are from I may be able to point you in the right direction. I could contact the CED (County Executive Director) and ask him or her where to go for the best prices. If you could e-mail me directly we could work from there.

You just want a mix of browse that comes into prime at different times. Rye, clover, beans, etc.

CHEAP SEED ? Unless your planting acreS of land for your plot, the seed, even high quality deer intended, researched and blended seed is the cheapest part of the plot. I have three 1/4 acre plots, a fourth on the way. I plant these perennials different years so that I can spread out the WORKload. There is no "Cents" in using anything but the most researched product considering all the work that goes into a food plot. For me that happens to be Imperial brand.

I also had good luck with Imperial products. I have a small clover plot and I tried Imperial powerplant last year with great results.

Once you get involved in planting the plot you will want good seed. I'm not saying they can't be obtained from a local agway but the imperial products produce great results. The most important thing is to prep the soil or it dosen't matter what you plant.

ditto the local feed store
personally, I would go with regular ladino & red clover for a simple, good plot, but there are many options available
