RE: How long is your season? and where
NY - it varies a bit from our northern to southern zone
I live in the southern zone so here's that:
Bow - Oct 15 for approx. 35 days
Shotgun - going to switch to the 3rd Sat. in Nov. running 23 days
Late Bow - 5 days after gun
Late ML - 7 days after gun
here's northern zone:
Archery - Sept. 27 - Oct 22
Early ML - Oct 16 - Oct. 22
Rifle - Oct 23 - Dec. 5
there are some other variations, but that is the predominant structure. there are plans in the works to change So. Zone regs. It would be nice if NY would take a page out of the MI game book - I could handle deer season for Oct 1 - Jan 2 (that is actually similar to some of the counter proposals submitted to NY (mine in particular!) in combination with their original change proposal.
PS - one more to 1000!!!!!!!

South Dakota rifle is 2-3 weeks - i cant remember - muzzleloader is after rifle by a ways - and i think that runs for 14 days - - dont archery hunt so dont know that length
Season usually runs (In my unit) Nov.15 - 2-3 weeks after that
