In Arkansas the deer archery season runs from 10/1 through 2/15. Depending on zone the gun season usually starts the second weekend of November and runs through the second weekend of December, with a 2-3 day hunt starting the day after Christmas. There is a muzzleloader season in October that I think runs for two weeks.

Our rifle season starts the second week of Nov. and runs through Thanksgiving weekend. They have extended the season for Antlerless deer through the 10th of Jan. in an attempt to trim down the numbers of does which are thicker than flies. Due to good forage they are very big deer and in good shape. If we can;t control the excess numbers of does however, this may not last long. Over population is often followed mt die offs.

here in pa, we have i think 2 months bow,a jr.doe season of 3 days, a week early muxxleloader, 2 weeks of regular deer, and 2-3 weeks of late muzzleloader
