where should i hunt

there is some very thick woods and brush behinde my house and there is alot of deer activity on my property around the water spring that leads into the woods. The woods are so thick i can only walk back there about 75 yards. should i call the deer in from a treestand along the treeline or go into the woods and call them in.

I would start with the least intrusive approach first. If you don't succeed move closer to thick stuff. Also, you should cut a few access routes in the off season so you can sneak in to the thick stuff without letting the whole woods know you are coming.

I would cut a 3 foot wide path right through the middle of the thicket. That will become the deer's main travel route! I did this on a piece that was too thick to hunt and set up my stand at the end of the path! I killed a lot of deer from that spot!
