Default Turkey choke tube for buckshot?

Do you think a turkey tube would improve a buckshot pattern like it does birdshot?

most turkey tubes tell you to not shoot buckshot through them.it will ruin the tube.along with the shot, the buckshot will not compress and spread in the tube like the smallet 5's or 6's.

I would not use mine for b-shot. just my 2 cents, there are 98 more.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

Buckshot generally patterns better with a less restrictive choke such as a modified.

Steel shot of any size is not to be shot through a full choke, nor a turkey choke. Lead buck can be shot through a full choke and a turkey choke but the turkey choke will deform the pellets causing worse patterning instead of better patterning. It really depends on the length of the barrel and the bore, but buck usually patterns better with improved cylinder, or modified, it seems to me. I also think I read that somewhere as well. Still some guys I know swear that full choke gives them a tighter group with buck... and they will shoot buck through a long barrel out to 100 yards, but not a turkey choke of any sort.

I agree with the others, do not use buckshot in a turkey choke tube. I use the pattern master choke tube for my Remington 870 express super mag and I love it.
