Found a Herd
 

Went for my afternoon walk through the woods yesterday. It’s what I do instead of the gym thing, an hour each afternoon wandering the woods , this time of year mostly shed hunting. The moral of the story is for weeks I have been seeing tremendous sign but no deer. One trail must have had 2 dozen scat in a hundred yards. Was wandering a thicket and busted a herd of a dozen or so. Seems they have herded up and if you don’t meet up with the herd you don’t see them at all.

yea i finally seen my herd for the first time in almost two months yesterday while walking to put out a few things at my stand. i was getting worried bout them a little bit!!!

That's an exciting experience. I jumped a lone Deer 2-3 days ago. But they are'nt near as many down here in the flat land swampy areas around where I live. Just go 10 miles to the west, and it's getting on towards the Ozarks... That's where I like to hunt.

Found 3 Sheds in one day, and a Grinding Pot and Scraper another day.

Phil, walking instead of the gym is great. Save some $$$ and it's good foryour heart and muscles, not to mention the mind. Not too many gyms with authentic outdoors experiences-or sheds. I do it, too.
