Default Deer Antlers in Controlled Burns

Every year we burn a certain amount of our property. Does anyone know if the antlers actually burn during the fires, or just change colors, or look the same after a fire goes across them? The first year that i found a pair of sheds - they were in a burned area and they looked about the same, but they just had a shinny tint in some places - but i also found them in some brush where they might have been somewhat protected. Ever since though, I have never found them in burned areas. Does anyone know why this is?

I find dropped antlers in burn areas on a regular basis. The fire seems to maybe discolor the antler a little bit but generally not affect them a whole lot.
