RE: Not for weak stomach!
I'm with Zrex -- I've shot a ton of deer over the years with everything from a .243 to a .300 Mag and I've never seen a bullet of any flavor or caliber cause a wound like that. And to make matters worse, I'm an ER guy and I know what bullet wounds look like. Nice try bud, but that ain't no bullet wound.[8D]

ORIGINAL: zrexpilot Thats NOT a bullet wound. This does not look like a bullet hole to me, but neither did the one I saw with my own eyes. |
RE: Not for weak stomach!
u must be using a 50. caliber bmg or a freakin elephant gun to make hole that size. iv been around guns my whole life and never seen a bullet wound that big besides the movies

RE: Not for weak stomach!
o and one more thing if that truly is a bullet hole we would be able to most likly see all the way through it

RE: Not for weak stomach!
I saw a guy bring a doe into the processors that he had shot with a 30-06 and a I believe it was a 125 or 110 gr bullet. The bullet hit the shoulder blade and blew up. Left a hole bigger than the hole in that deer's neck. Killed her on the spot, but the guy was kind of lucky. The damage was mostly surface damage.
If that deer in the above photo really was killed by a bullet, then I'd recommend a heavier bullet next time. |
