mineral licks
 

i was wondering is anyone out there uses mineral licks to attract deer.if you do,do you use mineral blocks or grain. i hunt on farm land so would a mineral lick be worth it.any help would be great

I use the whitetail institute 3-step mineral plan where i hunt and i have had some great results. It is on their website www.deernutrition.com (look for the cutting edge minerals). I also use blocks but not alot of response on those. The cutting edge mineral plan attracts and keeps deer in the area from all over. It also helps the deer to become more healthy and have better racks. I would recommend using this if you want to try something it may be a little costly but it is worth it.

i have some on my faimlys land in vermont let me tell you the diffrence btween antlers it was amazing!

We used mineral licks year round but we are careful to use licks that add certain nutrients
to a deers diet. Salt lick in no way benefit the deer's health while other molases or grain
based licks can actually help with antler growth.

I use FRM deer minerals during the summer it really helps the deer.I've never seen the deer in it but I sure can see the holes the dig.

I USED TO USED 50LB MINERAL BLOCKS AND POUR BLOCK TOPPER ON TOP OF THEM WORKED GOOD FOR ME
