I also find it interesting how some folks post about their hatred for welfare and gov't handouts (tax payers money[:o]) over on the political forum but then refer to it as a better option over illegally killing a deer to feed your family.

Non-issue .
If hunting were ever banned then I wouldn't be able to hunt legally and would therefore be a poacher if I did . Reference the quoted comment , it applies here too . I love hunting , but never will love it enough to go to jail for . It's just a frickin' hobby , not a way of life .

BTW , I detest welfare and would eliminate it right now if I could . Nobody ever gave me anything because I never asked and wouldn't . If you live somewhere that has no work you don't need to poach , you need to move to where the jobs are . I've done some pretty crappy jobs to get by in the past , and jobs are out there , so there is no acceptable reason to poach .

I honestly hope your never faced with this problem! You wont be able to afford to move by the way.
It sounds to me like your one of the "proud" folks I was refering to. When faced with a situation like that , one of your standards would have to change.
I'm betting on venison on the table!;)

In the one case in maybe 100,000 it's ok to take a deer to feed your family. Wait I forgot the police will give them to you and you won't even have to shoot one.;)
