What on the 870 do you want to take apart ?

Trigger group out
Take fore arm off
barrel off bolt apart

Here is a link to Remingtons owners manual for the 870 .
It will tell you how to take your 870 apart.

your owners manual should show you everything if you have it

One of the simplest shotguns to take down, which is why I like it.

Generally, you shouldn't need to go much further than removing the barrel, slide, bolt, bolt plate, and trigger group. I've disassembled Remington trigger groups (Speedmaster, Model 552), but you have to be very careful. Hold on to those springs and lay everything out in order.
