I like the morning hunt the best for deer, i seem to have alot more activity during those first few minutes of shooting time. I could count on one hand the deer i have taken during the evening.

Best results for me is morning. This is the time I usually spot alot of game animals. But this year I resulted in bagging a buck at noon 12:07 during the middle of November(full rut) and a bull moose at 4:00pm in September during the wheel-rut.Regardless of this I still like mornings.

Activity wise or sheer numbers mornings. That said my most productive time is between 10 -3 for bucks. It boils down to where and how you hunt, food sources low light will always rule the roost but deep transition areas you'll find more swinging to mid day times.

Although I have taken a couple deer in the morning, Evenings have been much more productive. Where I hunt it is much easier catching them coming into a food source than it is trying to intercept them on the way back to their bedding area.

I've seen more deer in the evening but killed more bucks in the morning. My most productive time for bucks is between 7-11am! Out of 13 bucks 10 were shot in the 7-11am time slot. Then 1 at 3pm and the other 2 at last light.

I have no real favorite. My decision is based on the weather and wind on a particular day. I have a few favorite stands that cover the bases. I have harvested most of the buck in the evening, just before sunset.

I only ever hunt morning and early afternoon. I've never been out in the evening. Infact we usually pack up and head home between 11 am and 1 pm.
