RE: MORNING HUNTING
I like to be in my stand and quite 1 1/2 hours before official sunrise hoping the deer didn't bed down in my path. (Had that happened one year and I don't know who was more spooked.) As far as morning hunting, I prefer it over evening hunting because having the daylight to track is much better than a flashlight.

RE: MORNING HUNTING
I always try to be the first in line at the WMA gate at 4:45AM. I drive around 50 on the dirt trails 4miles. Walk 3/4 in the swamp. I'm also an a serious bird- watcher and try to stay in the stand until I write down /identify 30 species of birds. That's usually 11:00AM . All but one of my deer have been killed around 1:30 PM Like all of these folks I hear them until dawn. They approach with the sound of turkeys, barred and screech owls in the distance. And then ...their gone. After it turns 11:00 I say shoot, I may as well stay out here all day and often I do. Florida is the #3 best migrating spot in the US. So I never strike out. Those warblers are pretty nice to the eyes .
