Scoring deer (4x5 or 5x6)

When scoring a typical whitetail, that is a 4x5 or 5x6.
Do you score all tines from the brow (eye guards) as g1 and so on from left
to right? Or do you figure out which tine is missing and leave that score
blank keeping left to right even to the end?

I have absolutely no idea about scoring ( sorry i can't help you ) but is one of those missing or is is broke off. I could be wrong but i think if one is broke off it won't score. Is that right?

Go to booneandcrocket.com and they tell you how to do it.

Yes you score all tines measuring 1" or long along the main beam. G1 is the browtine or eye guards position. The missing tine will become a deduction to make up your net score. It does count toward calculating the gross score of the deer (total before deductions).

Here is a link to B&C's website for scoring a typical whitetail.
