Finally my first deer - Pics included
I finally got my first deer during antlerless season. Its tough competition hunting here, there are alot of poachers. Anyways, for the last 3 years I been hunting I never got anything because I was using a 44 Mag. Ruger open site, and the deer were always 100 yards. I got a 30.06 in 2004 and finally got one about 150 yards. It was a 90 lb button buck. Good eating size. Next year Im going to try to find that nice 12 point I saw during antlerless. He always hides during hunting season though.

Congratulations on your first deer. Sounds like it is going to be the first of many more in the years to come. I read your info (bio) and glad to hear you have recovered OK. It's cool that you are going after a career in teaching, as teaching is a rather altruistic thing to do. You sound like you got a really good head on your shoulders, are ambitious and have clear goals. I feel those types of folks make great teachers (role models). I wish you great success in all.
