L.I. Opening Day

Today was opening day of the Long Island shotgun season and man what a day. It was nonstop at the check in station. Before I left to my stand, they had weighed in 10 deer. One was a 2 1/2 year old buck with 10 points. I can only imagine what kind of rack it would of had in 2 more years. It was a sight for sore eyes, after going through the regular season with only one buck sighted. :D

Welcome to the board. Well you learn something every day, I had no idea that there was a hunting season on Long Island.

Long island is jammed with deer. I went up there 8 years ago to pick up a dragster and it looked like a zoo

The great thing is that you can use all your tags over there. Muzzle, bow, 1C DMP and you even get a bonus tag if you fill your DMP one.
