antler rattling
I have never tried "rattling" before now. Would some of you more experienced rattlers offer your perspective on this? I have only the next couple of days here in Georgia before the season ends and I thought about trying it out to see if I have any success.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Many factors enter into this equation...rut, hunting pressure, deer density, buck/doe ratio, buck demeanor, buck core areas, area in general, set-up, etc..
I can tell you that's it's fairly common for bucks to desire to approach from downwind. Perhaps the best piece of advice I can offer you is to employ a set-up that affords you decent sightlines of the downwind side (if windy) and/or station a partner downwind if you'll be hunting with one. Scent reduction/cover scents and tree stands help as well.
Rattling is one of those things that can work wonders but typically yields marginal results at best...if any. Lotta' factors have to come together, but when it's on...it's hot!

RE: antler rattling
Hello everyone and thanks for your response. I live in Whitesburg, Ga, between Newnan and Carrollton. I have taken one spike this year. However, this evening after church, I rode down to where I hunt and there were two large does in the open field beside my stand. I believe I get up early in the morning and give it a try.
