How difficult can it be to shoot a deer when you can literally see deer every single time you go into the woods?
It is very easy to shoot any deer, but it can still very difficult to kill large buck for the area. I could easily kill a doe or a buck in the 120-140 class every day but it is still a challenge to kill a 150+ buck.

It is stuill hunting. Sometimes its very easy hunting. Thats because right now we have a lot of mule deer. We can get a bunch of doe permits. However we are riding on top of the wave right now. It has not always been that way. Many years we could only get one deer and it was not easy then. We can usually only get one buck permit. I don't care, I hardly ever shoot them anyway. Meat Hunter.

129 deer? wow
that is only during gun season.....
NOV 20 through JAN 15 : 2 does a day or 1 doe and 1 buck a day
JAN 16 through JAN 31 : 1 buck a day

we don't have to have any tags or inspection stations...we kill a deer, field dress it and take it to the processor and back hunting in an hour

The few times and places I went when I was in central Maryland was clearly shooting and not hunting. The places open to public hunting in that area are so small that you can walk the entire area in a matter of 2 hours or so. To me, then, there is very little decision making needed to set a stand, etc. And the deer will come. Unlimited doe permits. Of course, population control was the express reason this area (Patapsco St. Park) was open to bowhunting. You did not (do not) need to exercise the same level of skill in those areas as you do many others.

Just one example of one specific place.
