heres a skull i found in my area. the same area that consistently produces wierd antlered freaks year after year ( i am famous for tagging these "spectacles" ) ;)

might be genetic, or maybe early injury.

weird looking buck. where are you from? the woods I hunt seems to produce bucks just like that one.
ive seen a couple bucks in the last few years that have the same right side that grows down. ive always assumed it was the result of an injury but surely that many bucks cant have the same injury

i'm 15 miles south of albany ny. home to csx, general electric, pcb infested hudson, and lafarge cement. i'm sure the big industry has NOTHING to do with these genetic anomalies....;)

Might have hit his antler while in velvet on a tree or something. First thought when I opened the thread was that you must live at Three Mile Island.........

I had one come by me the other day that looked like that and I let it go because it looked like a broken antler my from velvet. If we see it next year and it is messed up it will be time to kill it. Thanks for sharing, nice picture!!
