Stange occurence?
When I got home from church today, I noticed my 3D deer target in pieces in my back yard. Now, I could understand it happening in November during the rut, but this is Dec 26th, in Pennsylvania. There is a gouge mark behind the front legs and numerous scrapes on the face and neck. It didn't fall over in the wind, the "antlers" are scattered like something hit it with sufficient force. Do you think a buck could be doing this, at this time of year?

RE: Stange occurence?
boy you gotta head scratcher there,- whats it made of plastic with foam on it?
the gouge behind the front legs looks like an antler mark- the buck could have knocked the antlers off after it was on the ground---my .02 cent who knows--- its looks like a job for a "digicam man" has it ever happened before? |
RE: Stange occurence?
When I first put it out last May, a small group of does came through the yard and interacted with it, ie. nuzzleing it. But no other interest since, til now. That's an old foot-stool I have in place to block low arrows. The deer comes from Cabelas.

RE: Stange occurence?
If you know for sure it wasn,t a human, than my guess would be a buck. Maybe he was tending a doe that didn,t get poped in the first rut. She might have come up in your yard and he followed and saw your decoy. I gues he thought it was ass kicking time.
